A conflict within a Scrum Team is a regular and inevitable occurrence that can arise due to differing opinions, work styles, personal differences, or misunderstandings. In an agile environment, conflicts can signify a high level of commitment and a strong desire for a quality outcome. But how should the Scrum Master handle these situations?

The role of the Scrum Master is to empower the team to resolve conflicts on their own. Instead of being a problem solver, the Scrum Master should support the team by ensuring they possess the necessary skills and resources to resolve conflicts efficiently.

However, conflict can also be destructive if not handled properly. In such cases, the Scrum Master should intervene and ensure the team constructively resolves their disputes. That includes providing a safe and trusting environment where team members can speak freely, ensuring that all involved people are heard, and finding acceptable solutions.
